Leveraging Global Warming

Leveraging Global Warming by Jon Rappoport December 30, 2009  I’m offering an experimental hypothesis here, based on how markets work.  I’m talking about trading markets—stocks, commodities. As you know, is a lever for a new type of market; trading “permits” or “offsets” in carbon.

A Reporter Responds: Arianna Huffington’s Dec. 26 Blog

A Reporter Responds: Arianna Huffington’s Dec. 26 Blog by Jon Rappoport December 28, 2009 Arianna Huffington points out that the president hasn’t yet broken the stranglehold insurance and drug companies have over the US healthcare market. That was one of his promises, but now—“Christmas came a day early for health insurance and drug companies when the Senate passed a health care bill crammed with more industry-friendly gifts than Santa’s sleigh.”

US Military Aggression Against Venezuela Escalating

Caracas, 20 December – Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez revealed today on his Sunday television and radio program, Aló Presidente, that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, have illegally entered Venezuela’s airspace during the past several days. “A few days ago, one of these military planes penetrated Venezuela as far as Fort Mara,” a Venezuelan military fort in the State of Zulia, bordering Colombia. The drone was seen by several Venezuelan soldiers who immediately reported the aerial violation to their superiors.

Has Anyone Read the Copenhagen Agreement?

Lord Monckton himself only became aware of the extraordinary powers to be vested in this new world government when a friend found an obscure U.N. Web site and searched through several layers of hyperlinks before discovering a document that isn't even called the draft "treaty." Instead, it's labelled a "Note by the Secretariat."

Obama’s Science Adviser Confirms the Scandal — Unintentionally

Now, I wouldn%u2019t want to jump to any conclusions here, but it kind of looks to me like the %u201Csmall group of scientists%u201D caught out by Climategate are pretty much the same people who make up the vast and strong scientific consensus on global warming and write the official reports that the U.S. and other governments rely on to inform their policy decisions. I%u2019m sure Dr. John P. Holdren, President Obama%u2019s science adviser, has a plausible alternative explanation. He always does.

BBC News - Himalayan glaciers melting deadline 'a mistake'

In its 2007 report, the Nobel Prize-winning Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said: "Glaciers in the Himalayas are receding faster than in any other part of the world and, if the present rate continues, the likelihood of them disappearing by the year 2035 and perhaps sooner is very high if the Earth keeps warming at the current rate. "Its total area will likely shrink from the present 500,000 to 100,000 square kilometres by the year 2035," the report said.

Michael Geist - The ACTA Internet Chapter: Putting the Pieces Together

If accurate (and these provisions are consistent with the U.S. approach for the past few years in bilateral trade negotiations) the combined effect of these provisions would dramatically reshape Canadian copyright law and to eliminate sovereign choice on domestic copyright policy. Having just concluded a national copyright consultation, these issues were at the heart of thousands of submissions.

Global Warming: A closer look at the numbers

Just how much of the "Greenhouse Effect" is caused by human activity? It is about 0.28%, if water vapor is taken into account-- about 5.53%, if not. This point is so crucial to the debate over global warming that how water vapor is or isn't factored into an analysis of Earth's greenhouse gases makes the difference between describing a significant human contribution to the greenhouse effect, or a negligible one.

Official Science-The Big Medical Con Game

Official Science&;The Big Medical Con Game by Jon Rappoport December 4, 2009 The recent scandal surrounding fake climate–change science, and the scandal around Swine Flu, are both reflections of the same premise: There are official scientists; everyone else is irrelevant.
