The Food Standards Agency yesterday tore up proposals that would have required it to go through a safety assessment.

At the camp in the %u201CPuerta del Sol%u201D in Madrid, free food is handed out. What%u2019s being demanded is a new society, not just papering over the cracks of the old one. The movement itself has no single leader or figurehead; all decisions are made by consensus at general assemblies, held twice daily. Hundreds, sometimes thousands, attend the meetings, with no decision taken until every single person is in agreement.
What we do know, and what is quite clear, is this: what I experienced last night is no "humanitarian intervention."
The scientists fabricated blood and saliva samples containing DNA from a person other than the donor of the blood and saliva. They also showed that if they had access to a DNA profile in a database, they could construct a sample of DNA to match that profile without obtaining any tissue from that person.
"We (the US) will maintain Israel's qualitative military edge"... "We have increased military financing to record levels," Obama said.
William Combes, age 59 and in good health, was scheduled to be a primary witness at the opening session of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) on September 12 in London, England. I last saw William ten days ago, on the eve of my departure for a European speaking tour, and he looked better than I had seen him in years. According to his partner Mae, William was in stable health and was assigned a new doctor at St. Paul%u2019s Hospital this past week.
- git-annex is not a backup system. It may be a useful component of an archival system, or a way to deliver files to a backup system. For a backup system that uses git and that git-annex supports storing data in, see bup.
- git-annex is not a filesystem or DropBox clone. But there is a FUSE filesystem built on top of git-annex, called ShareBox, and there is interest in making it easy to use and covering some of the use cases supported by DropBox.
At least six films about the 7/7 London bombings are circulating on the Internet, here listed. You can order them all on a DVD from Culture Shop. In different ways they all investigate some of the most serious holes in the official account of that day%u2019s events.
At 4pm on Thursday 12th May at Southwark Crown Court the jury returned and declared Muad%u2019Dib (Anthony John Hill) innocent of attempting to «pervert the course of justice».
The company says the worker had put on a full protective suit and was not exposed to radioactive substances. This was the first time that a worker at the Daiichi plant died after the March 11th disaster. Saturday, May 14, 2011 12:20 0900 (JST)
Mark Boulton and Leisa Reichelt have suggest drupal provide inline editing in the interface. This is a fantastic idea and one I would love to see in drupal. But, (I hate this part) inline editing in drupal is a difficult feature to add. So, before everyone wonders whey we don't offer it or why it's going to take some work let's look at why this is hard.
Many exciting new functions and features are being thought up for CSS3. We will try and showcase some of them on this page, when they get implemented in either Firefox, Konqueror, Opera or Safari/Webkit.
The situation again exposes the bogus "humanitarian" pretext of the US-NATO bombardment of Libya. Washington and its allies in Europe raised the spectre of the Gaddafi regime unleashing mass killings in Benghazi in order to justify their military intervention into the oil-rich state.
The big question which troubles ones mind is as to why the US decided to keep Pakistan outside the loop and went for a solo action. Why did it not want to share victory with Pakistan? Did it not contemplate the negative fallout effect of its unilateralism? Did it not chew over the possibility that Pakistan might dissociate itself from war on terror at this critical stage and gains made over Osama might get jeopardized? If so, why was it so sure that Pakistan would ignore it as it had ignored drone attacks?
First of all, and before I deal with what I want to deal with in this article, I want to explain that I am not going to deny the truth or exactness of what appears on the tape or the exactness or truth of the existence of the tape itself, despite my own convictions regarding this commotion and these claims. Thus, I will suppose that the existence of the tape is a fact and that what appears in it is exactly correct in order that I might discuss this topic from the angle that I want to deal with and only for the sake of argument.
We bring to the attention of our readers the following text of Osama bin Laden's interview with Ummat, a Pakistani daily, published in Karachi on September 28, 2001. It was translated into English by the BBC World Monitoring Service and made public on September 29, 2001.
As we become more comfortable with sharing ourselves on the %u2018social web,%u2019 we%u2019re revealing a lot of valuable information about our interests, preferences and social connections, and it%u2019s strewn across the web in many different 3rd party silos. One slice of me may be at home on Facebook, another segment of relationships and topics I follow are on Twitter, my online buying habits are known by Amazon and eBay, and a range of companies unknown to me are tracking the %u2018digital exhaust%u2019 I leave as I visit websites and travel around the web.
I am Mordechai Vanunu that was kidnapped from Rome on September 30, 1986 by The Israeli Secret Services...
There is also much media discussion of Washington%u2019s anger that Pakistan didn%u2019t turn over bin Laden, though surely elements of the military and security forces were aware of his presence in Abbottabad. Less is said about Pakistani anger that the U.S. invaded their territory to carry out a political assassination. Anti-American fervor is already very high in Pakistan, and these events are likely to exacerbate it. The decision to dump the body at sea is already, predictably, provoking both anger and skepticism in much of the Muslim world.
Top US government insider Dr. Steve R. Pieczenik, a man who held numerous different influential positions under three different Presidents and still works with the Defense Department, shockingly told The Alex Jones Show yesterday that Osama Bin Laden died in 2001 and that he was prepared to testify in front of a grand jury how a top general told him directly that 9/11 was a false flag inside job.
In 2008, Old-Thinker News reported on a 1994 strategic paper published by the U.S. Army War College titled %u201CRevolution In Military Affairs And Conflict Short Of War,%u201D written by Dr. Steven Metz (who works for the RAND Corporation) and James Kievit. Recent events have made this paper even more precient than ever.
Until they get some sort of personal jolt, people don't realize just how bad things have become over the last ten years. Those behind the "Establishment" are very careful not to interrupt the booze and diversions, but things are rapidly deteriorating. The downward spiral is just slow enough that the vast majority of people, even within the "truth-movement", cannot see it happening from day to day.
While the government bears heavy responsibility for its mishandling of the military-police operation, including the deaths of civilians, the reports confirm that the armed terrorist groups had also opened fire on protesters and local residents. The casualties are then blamed on the armed forces and the police and the Bashar Al Assad government is portrayed by %u201Cthe international community%u201D as having ordered countless atrocities.
Mulcair also said the killing requires "a full analysis" on whether it was self-defence or a direct killing because "that has to do with American law and international law as well."
The incident this week in Abbottabad, Pakistan was always intended to be %u201Cself-discrediting.%u201D In a time of rigged voting machines and rule by decree, a time of military tribunals and tortured defendants, the concept of evidence and accountability is a joke. Consider the current bin Laden farce what it was intended to be, the American government reminding its people and the people of the world how little respect it has for them.
At a time when the world is slowly awakening to the truth about Israel, it%u2019s policies of Genocide, Occupation and Apartheid, one country chooses to turn a blind eye to this reality, Canada. The Harper Tories, ardent supporters of those policies, won a majority in yesterday%u2019s Federal Election. The Canadian taxpayer will pay dearly for this as do their neighbours to the south.
THE TECTONIC SHIFT IN EDUCATION MAY 3, 2011. As I was about to post this piece, it suddenly occurred to me younger people might not understand my use of the word “drill.” I learned about it, first-hand, when I was 11 years old. In school. In 1949. Our teacher gave us arithmetic drills every day. For instance, we had to work at our desks converting ten fractions into percentages. Then we took home 20 more fractions to convert. Of course, we had no calculators or computers.
Government scientists and media shills are now "reexamining" old studies that show that radioactive substances like plutonium cause cancer and arguing that exposure to low doses of radiation is good for us (a theory called "hormesis").
