Elon Musk lashed out at President Donald Trump's signature tax and spending bill on Wednesday, calling on Americans to tell their representatives in Washington to "kill the bill". The budget, which includes huge tax breaks and a sharp rise in military spending, was passed by the House of Representatives last month and is now being considered by senators. The tech billionaire posted on X earlier this week that the bill would add to the US budget deficit and saddle Americans with "crushing" debt.

Data privacy activists, many of whom are supporters of President Donald Trump, are expressing anger and disbelief following reports that his administration had advanced plans to create a national citizen database with technology firm Palantir. The White House has reportedly contracted Palantir, a Colorado-based analytics company co-founded by Trump supporter Peter Thiel, to assist in compiling a database of personal information on American citizens, according to unnamed government officials and Palantir employees.

The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, is accused of using a "makeshift flamethrower" and an "incendiary device" in the attack. The FBI says he shouted "free Palestine" during the episode.
