The author writes, “A new chapter in the ongoing saga of net neutrality and who governs the internet will take shape over the next year, thanks to another shift in power at the Federal Communications Commission.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee have released several emails which suggest Dr. Anthony Fauci may have known that Covid-19 originated from a lab leak, and that it may have been “intentionally genetically manipulated.”

As Democratic lawmakers push America towards vaccine passports to participate in society – they’re also pushing to weaken safeguards on voting, under the guise of ‘voting rights,’ a new Senate bill would force states to pair voter ID requirements with vaccine passports.

The legislation is the idea of Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota who says if a state forces people to prove their vaccination status, they should also have to prove who they are when they go to vote.

Approximately half a dozen former health policymakers – including members of Biden’s transition team – have come forward to declare that the Biden administration’s Covid-19 policy has gone off the rails and needs an ‘urgent strategy reset.’

President Joe Biden is urging schools to stay open, but there’s a widespread Covid testing shortage.

Update (0900ET): Tennis pro Novak Djokovic has broken his silence hours after being freed from immigration detention by an Australian judge. In a tweet, the tennis pro said that he would like to stay in Melbourne and try to compete in the Australian Open.

“I’m pleased and grateful that the Judge overturned my visa cancellation. Despite all that has happened,I want to stay and try to compete.”

Hailing victory, Palestine Action vows to continue disruptions at other sites.

Among the boldest and eye-brow raising political moves by embattled Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev within the past days that grabbed international headlines was his ordering the arrest of Kazakhstan’s powerful former intelligence chief, Karim Massimov, on the charge of high treason.

The protests began on the second day of the new year in Zhanaozen, a sun-parched, heavily polluted town in the steppe of southwestern Kazakhstan that feeds off a depleting oil field in the nearby Caspian Sea and a Soviet-era uranium mine.

Zhanaozen is where police mowed down a crowd of striking oil workers in 2011, killing at least 14 people and wounding hundreds, and where ethnic clashes resulted in as many as 200 deaths in 1989 during the twilight of the USSR.
