Lauri Love has won his legal battle against being extradited to the US over alleged cyber attacks. Mr Love is a 33-year-old British national who, through his mother, also has Finnish nationality. The High Court ruled that Love should be tried in Britain after Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett and Mr Justice Ouseley heard he suffered from severe mental illness and would be in danger of committing suicide if extradited to the US.

On this edition of The Geopolitical Report, we examine the concerted effort by the establishment to demonize and eventually eliminate alternative media. Since the election and the debunked hysterical claim Russia meddled in the election and helped Trump defeat Clinton, the government has leaned heavily on social media platforms to put an end to supposed fake news generated by phantom Russian operatives and bots. The real target is not Russia, but non-establishment media in general.

In the sixty-seventh edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers:  Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Izvestia, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, and Sovietskaya Rossiya. He discusses the defeat of the Gladio C operatives in Prague and the re-election of Vladimir Putin’s ally Milos Zeman as the president of the Czech Republic. He also covers the controversy around the U.S. Senate ‘Kremlin Report’ and the U.S. Treasure’s so-called ‘Putin’s list’ of the senior Russian government officials and oligarchs and how Russia has reacted to it.

The Democrats’ message is clear: President Donald Trump is unqualified to be commander in chief. He’s a threat to democracy and is destabilizing the international order. He supports Russia in ways that defy any normal explanation. He’s unlike any US president we’ve seen before. These feelings are reflected in movements like “the Resistance.”

But if Trump is so threatening, why do Democrats keep voting to give him more power? We really shouldn’t be surprised, because we’ve seen this movie before.
