This follows a special bulletin from the FBI last week that warned: “armed protests” were being planned at 50 state capitols and the US Capitol in Washington, DC, ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20.

While Donald Trump was preparing to scuttle out of Washington a few hours before Joe Biden’s inauguration, Uganda’s 76-year-old President Yoweri Museveni was touting his election victory and a seventh term in office.  

President-elect Joe Biden will ‘immediately’ send a legislative package to Congress which would provide a pathway to citizenship for some 11 million illegal immigrants, according to the Los Angeles Times, according to “immigrants rights activists in communication with the Biden-Harris transition team.”

On Friday morning, someone stole an armored military Humvee from a National Guard facility in Los Angeles, California.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said the Humvee is a combat vehicle with advanced armor.

The bureau is offering a $10k reward for information leading to the recovery of the Humvee, the FBI tweeted Saturday.

Update (1232 ET): Buzz Feed’s Paul McLeod reports, “about 3,000 total national guard troops sheltering in the Capitol right now.”

McLeod said guardsmen had to stay in the Capitol building “overnight because there was nowhere to put all 15,000 troops being brought into DC for inauguration from various state national guards (eg New York sent 1,000).”
