When logic is taught at all, it is usually handled in an abstract fashion. Students examine very simple patterns of reasoning and learn which patterns are correct and which are incorrect.

When analysis of realistic text is taught at all, it usually involves dissecting literature to find out what the author is “really trying to say.”

After mass shootings or other types of terror attacks in the US, the finger-pointing begins almost immediately. One side uses the situation to advocate a change in policy while the other side laments that this is insensitive and that the immediate aftermath of such a major event should not be “politicized.” Is there a right way and time to start a national discussion?

Conservationists in Mexico have front-row seats as yet another species is on the verge of extinction. They can watch, but it looks as though there is little they can do to prevent it.

Comme je constate régulièrement des diffamations à notre encontre sur les réseaux sociaux, je tenais à faire un rappel non exhaustif des valeurs, principes et positions de ce site.

Si les médias français ont fort peu bougé, des médias britanniques et allemands ont enquêté sur le reportage de la télévision italienne sur les snipers de Maïdan, diffusé il y a 15 jours.

Il en résulte de sérieux doutes sur la crédibilité de certains témoins, et donc sur le professionnalisme du reportage.
